I have so been falling behind on this.
There's not much new on the home front these past few weeks, but life continues. I can't quite believe it's the end of November, since there are flowers still blooming like crazy, and I don't think the temperature has yet dipped below ten degrees, although it feels colder at night, since the air remains wet. I don't think I'll quite be rid of humidity in the air until I go back to Canada, despite protestations from my acquaintances that in winter it can get quite dry here. Perhaps indoors, where the heating will mercilessly flay the moisture from your skin unless you are possessed of a humidifier or a very good moisturizer, but not outside.
Oh, pictures! Let me preface this by telling you (or perhaps reminding you) that my knee has been rather bum all month. I'm not going to the gym anymore for fear of worsening whatever damage I've done, and my other knee seems to be wanting to join in the party. I'm going to try and get that looked at, this month. Perhaps it's been all the stair-climbing I've been doing...
This is my home subway station. And that's after I've climbed up the flight required to go up from the platform to the ticketwicket. As you can see, there are some providential escalators... but they go up, only. My problem is primarily with going down, and so I must, each morning, wait around with the obaasans and ojiisans for the two elevators to get down to the platform.
One hopes this knee thing isn't quite permanent. Or easily fixable... my coworker has recommended me a drink that restores cartilage in one's joints, but I'm holding off on buying the (chotto takai) product until I've seen a doctor or physio who can tell me if that is, in fact, the problem or not.
Ah well, we shall see!
