Happy (belated) Hallowe'en!
I partied quite hard for the occasion on Saturday, and as a result I spent the last two days recuperating inside - which worked out fine because the typhoon that everyone said would hit on Saturday night actually swept through on Sunday morning. And by "typhoon" I mean "ceaseless, boring rain".
To be serious, though, everyone around here will warn me about fearsome typhoons hitting Nagoya, and then there is.... a rainy day. Not even a mega-ultra-fiercely rainy day. Just a rainy day. It is super-disappointing the way people cry wolf constantly about weather phenomena, and I am probably going to get killed the one day there IS a follow-through because I have ceased to pay any heed to so-called extreme weather warnings. Japan, you disappoint me so.
In other news, it's November, which means that I will be going to both Kyoto and Tokyo this month! Stay tuned for pictures!
