K-k-k-karaoke! Choice of drunk foreigners all over Japan - it's quite cheap to rent a room after the bars close at 3 and spend the night until the trains start running again at 6. You have the choice to snooze or sing - and clearly singing is the obvious winner of the two. Having a whole room* crammed full of people belting out "Bye Bye American Pie" or "Backstreet's Back" at four in the morning (plus all-you-can drink for about two hours) is definitely an experience. Good luck trying to talk the next morning, though.
*About the size of two walk-in closets stuck together.
