Hey everyone; it's three days until I'm in the air and on my 14-hour (ish) flight to Nagoya International. Ontario seems to be determined to show me what I'll be missing - the weather here has been absolutely gorgeous for the past few days, and I certainly will miss being around here for spring, especially when it comes to my mom's gardens. Here's hoping the promised small park near my apartment in Nagoya delivers on the green space.
I will probably update this blog a lot more once I'm settled and actually have something to say about being in Japan and what that's like. I have to figure out how to upload pictures to this thing: I will probably go with a Flickr account or something similar that I can link to in my posts, instead of posting the pictures in the body of the post, which is probably as painstaking and time-killing as I anticipate from having done the same thing over on Livejournal.
In any case, I'm going to go outside now and enjoy Ontario while I can. My next update will probably be from the other side of the world.
